This residence was designed for a local Ibizan family on a north-facing plot with uninterrupted views over the valley and the sea. The site features a steep slope, falling approximately six metres below road level, which makes the rooftop terrace a key element when viewed from the main road.
The challenges posed by both the brief and the terrain were further intensified by strict local planning regulations, leading to the solution of partially embedding the house into the landscape. This approach ensures adequate natural light through the introduction of skylights throughout the villa.
Organised on a single level, the home opens towards the northwest, with the living areas, dining space and bedrooms enjoying views over the pool and towards the sea. The main living room forms the heart of the family home, incorporating a fireplace and an open kitchen positioned to one side of the space. The owner’s personal interest in cooking is reflected in a professionally equipped kitchen and pantry, which benefit from independent exterior access and a direct connection to an outdoor dining area.
